Beyond this application lies The Forge, where Questwright is built. The Architect owns the place, though he spends most of his time in the bureaucratic realms handling "adult stuff." In his absence, Sterling keeps the operation running with an iron schedule and a perpetual sigh. The Guildmaster watches it all unfold and announces the tales to the realm.
The actual work? That falls to the kobolds. Skrix leads the coding team, though he has a tendency to screech first and debug later. Krix, his self-appointed rival, still owes him three shiny buttons from a bet he lost. Snix builds features overnight without telling anyone, then hides behind parchments when Sterling asks questions. And Dave, the golem, somehow keeps them all from burning the place down. He's surprisingly peaceful about it.
And then there's The Inquisitor, our lead beta tester, who descends on the Forge with torch in hand to root out bugs with scrutiny sharper than any vorpal blade. You'll be joining their ranks.
The character sheets? Polished. The campaign management? Solid. The Play page where adventures actually happen? Built during what we're calling "a labor dispute" over kobold dental plans. It works. It just has... personality.
What Beta Testing Actually Means Here
- You'll find bugs. Sometimes the bugs will find you first.
- Features appear overnight because Snix doesn't sleep.
- Your feedback goes directly to the team. We read everything.
- The dev updates read like fantasy novellas because that's just how we communicate now.
You'll Fit In If You
- Can watch something break and think "oh, that's interesting" instead of flipping a table
- Enjoy being part of something while it's still being figured out
- Have opinions about tabletop RPGs and aren't shy about sharing them
- Appreciate a team that treats bug reports like treasure and testers like allies
Not a good fit: If you rage-quit when WiFi stutters, or expect a finished product behind that "beta" label, this will frustrate you. We'd rather you wait for launch than have a bad time.
